Local Plan consultation has started!
Have your say on housing, infrastructure, employment and the environment
Monday 22 January is the first day of a consultation into proposals that will help shape the future of the district until 2040.
You can read the whole document, or sections that are important to you, and leave comments on our consultation webpage
|
The Local Plan is a crucial planning document that provides a vision for creating sustainable development in parts of the district outside the South Downs National Park.
It makes proposals for sites and planning policies and outlines how the Government’s housing targets can be met and what business sites and infrastructure are required.
The plan will also set out how development can be managed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment as much as possible.
Our consultation will be conducted on a digital platform allowing readers to head to the sections that are most important to them and then make their comments quickly and easily.
Find out more about the consultation on www.easthants.gov.uk/lp-consultation
However, you can also take part by email or letter or attend one of our public events.
