ELECTION OF NEW CHAIRMAN

5. Planning and Development*
Current and ongoing planning applications will be discussed at the meeting and comments will be made: –

 

25256/049 – Land to the rear of Brackenbury Gardens and, Boyneswood Close, Medstead, Alton – Construction of 45 dwellings

59923Mounters Lodge, and land to the rear, Mounters Lane, Chawton – Outline planning application with all matters reserved, except the means of access to the highway network (site access) and layout, for the erection of 26 dwellings

 

*-The Parish Council can make observations regarding the Parish as a whole and comment on applications made but there is no guarantee that these comments will impact the ultimate decision.

6. General Activity
Discuss and review the ongoing objectives and activities of the Parish Council (Detailed in Appendix 1).

6.1 – Double Yellow Lines – This case has now passed to HCC due to the Traffic Management and Civil Parking Enforcement Agency Agreements countywide being terminated, the Council will liaise with the relevant department to continue the work.

6.2 – SDNP Parish workshop held on Tuesday 01st November at The Meon Hall, Meonstoke – update from Councillors who attended.

6.3 – Fireworks 2023

6.4 – New/updated website – Clerk meeting with web host

6.5 – Statement regarding memorials in the village recreation area

– to be drafted and agreed.

6.6 – Quotes for a single bollard at the entrance to the park opposite the school have been received from Stronghold and circulated to the Council

6.7 – AONB – update on support for this campaign

6.8 – Training for Councillors

6.9 – Signage for Mingledown regarding dog waste – LD

6.10 – Patching work Winchester Road near underpass – Do we want them patched or do we want the cost of that put into a bigger project to enhance the subway and dead end to the pedestrian entrance to village/ national park?

6.11 – Bus shelter one end of seat is rotting due to rain leak – repairs required.

 

7. Financial Review
To review and approve any spending and payments/requests for funding (Itemised in Appendix 2) Clerk Salary & Overtime, Semrah mowing, proforma invoice for damaged lectern – Fitzpatrick Woolmer

 

 

 

8. AOB.
8.1

 

Members of the public may make representations, answer questions and give evidence at a meeting in respect to items on the agenda.

·       The period of time designated for public participation at a meeting shall not exceed 10 minutes and a member of the public shall not speak for more than 3 minutes unless directed by the Chairman of the meeting.

Please inform the Clerk at least three days prior to the meeting providing any relevant paperwork for the Council if you wish to participate during this session.

The Council undertakes to listen to the speaker and may ask questions of clarification they are not required to answer questions raised during the same session.
