The first consultation draft is published and open for consultation from 5th February for 6 weeks
Local issues for Chawton:
Proposals include a site for traveling show people on agricultural land on the north side of Wolfs Lane
and employment use for agricultural land west of the A31 adjoining Northfields Lane
Travelling show People’s Pitches.
The proposal is for a site of 2.5 ha. for 12 pitches for travelling showpeople north of Wolfs Lane. This would take place in the next 5 years
Employment Space
New employment space of 5.3 ha. is proposed to be accessed from Northfields Lane from 2027/28

Chawton Parish Council will discuss at their meeting on Tuesday 12th February with time for public input.
Ten drop-in sessions are being planned around the district where residents will be able to talk to experts and find out more about the proposals. The Parish Council encourages residents to attend one of the these sessions. Residents can then submit comments online using the council’s website.
