After a lot of discussions and soul searching, it is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce that we have decided to cancel the Christingle for this year. With the rising cases of Covid and the rapid spread of the Omicron variant we do not feel that with the numbers likely to attend, we can adequately ventilate the church or provide distance between people sufficiently.
We are all sad as the children have practised really hard to play their parts and our Lay leader had put together a lovely service for us.
We can only pray that next year things will get back to some sort of normal and that Covid will just become part of our everyday lives. We will then be able to celebrate all together for our wonderful Christmas services.
