We are really looking forward to seeing you all at our special Christmas services at St Nicholas church Chawton. Details of the services are listed below.
Sunday.12th December. 3pm. Carol service of carols and lessons.
Tuesday.14th December. 6pm. School carol service (invitation only).
Friday.17th December. 1pm. School end of year service (invitation only).
Sunday.19th December. 10.45am. Lay led service with carols.
Friday. 24th December. 3pm. Christingle service.
Saturday. 25th December. 11am. Christmas day communion service.
In view of the recent events around the covid variant and the governments instructions for the wearing of face masks in shops and public transport, the church of England have also produced guidance for the services expected over the Christmas period.
We would want to keep everybody as safe and healthy as possible, so whilst it is not compulsory, the clergy of Northanger Benefice and Chawton Pcc would like to ask that if at all possible, face masks are worn at these services unless you are medically exempt. The congregations will be larger than normal, so we will not be able to safely distance from each other.
