Confirm your details online to vote

Confirm your details or risk your right to vote

Residents who do not confirm or correct their voter registration details by 23 November run the risk of being deleted from the electoral register.

East Hampshire District Council is sending out more than 9,000 final reminders to residents who have not responded to forms confirming their voter registration details this month.

Every autumn the council delivers Household Enquiry Forms to 53,000 homes around the district. Responding to the forms is a legal obligation and takes a matter of minutes online.

Residents who do not respond to the form two years in a row may be deleted from the electoral register.

This will prevent them from voting in local and national elections and may also affect their chances of getting credit, as many credit companies use the electoral register to assess credit applications.

Residents can respond to the form in a number of ways including by post and over the phone but the quickest way is online.
